My Musical Background

I dropped out of art college to pursue a career in music and in 1979 signed with Polydor Records as guitarist in a band called Misty. We were kinds 'Bread' meets the 'Beach  Boys' with a hint of 'Beatles'. We signed the same week as 'The Jam' and by a cruel twist of fate punk didn't turn out to be the five minute worth of garbage we all assumed it would at the time. So having recorded our first album at Richard Branson's 'Manor' studio with Producer Pip Williams (Status Quo, Moody Blues, Kiki Dee) we were unceremoniously dumped by Polydor. (By an even crueller twist of fate Paul Weller went on to become a millionaire)

I started my own 24 track studio with my share of recording and publishing advances and became an accomplished producer with my own record label and set up an artist management, publishing and production company.

I subsequently toured the USA as a freelance sound engineer with Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, Toto, Heart, John Parr and the Beach Boys ... I've been around the block once or twice - I know what sounds good and I know what looks good.
