F.A.Q. FOR AUTHORISED HD RENTALS
Do I have
to be a H.O.G.® member to rent with Harley-Davidson Authorized
Rentals? Is this the same as the H.O.G. Fly & Ride motorcycle rental
program? |
| |
|
|
| |
 |
No. Harley-Davidson
Authorized Rentals is a rental program open to all qualified
motorcyclists.
H.O.G. Fly & Ride is a different program available only to H.O.G.
members. |
 |
| |
 |
Are
all rental and tour prices the same? How much does a rental or tour
cost? |
| |
|
|

 |
Each rental and tour
operator is independently owned and operated, so rates will vary. Go
to the
Rental Locator or the
tour listing to learn of their rates, specials, or packages. |
 |

 |
Are
there discounts for H.O.G. members? |

Some operators may
give discounts to H.O.G. members. You may inquire with the
individual operators. |
 |

family - Sportster®, Dyna Glide, Softail®, VRSC™ and Touring models.
Check with individual operators to learn what they have in their
rental fleets. |

 |
The use of a
recent-model Harley-Davidson motorcycle, motorcycle lock, H-D
country-approved helmet, H-D rainsuit, short-term luggage storage
and emergency roadside assistance. |
 |
| |
 |
Does
my motorcycle or automotive insurance coverage carry over to a
motorcycle rental or tour? |
| |
|
|
| |
 |
Not likely. Most
motorcycle and automotive insurance policies do not extend coverage
to motorcycle rentals. Check with your insurance agent in advance. |
 |
| |

 |
What
is the difference between Harley-Davidson Authorized Rentals and
Harley-Davidson Authorized Tours? |
| |
|
|
| |
 |
Both Harley-Davidson
Authorized Rentals and Harley-Davidson Authorized Tours operators
are independently owned and operated, but each caters to a different
kind of customer.
Harley-Davidson Authorized Rentals operators rent motorcycles to
qualified renters for as long as the customer needs it - usually for
one or several days at a time. Harley-Davidson Authorized Tours
operators offer a tour experience that typically lasts several days
and consists of several riders and travels a predetermined route led
by a tour guide. Most Harley-Davidson Authorized Tours include the
motorcycle rental, guide service, some meals, lodging, and a support
vehicle.
But no matter which experience - Harley-Davidson Authorized Rentals
or Harley-Davidson Authorized Tours - you can be assured that you
will receive the use of a recent-model Harley-Davidson that has been
serviced and maintained according to Harley-Davidson Motor Company
standards. |

|
 |
| |
 |
If I ride a Harley-Davidson Authorized Rentals motorcycle in a state
that does not have a helmet law, why must my passenger and I wear
one? |
| |
|
|
| |
 |
Our primary concern
is your safety. Protection on the road is a good thing and it is a
good idea for motorcyclists to ride responsibly. You and any
passengers must sign an agreement that states you will wear a
country-approved helmet at all times while on the bike for the
duration of the rental, even if you’re travelling in a state without
mandatory helmet laws. If you don’t have your own country-approved
helmet, don’t worry - these can be provided at the time of rental.
Be aware that beanie and novelty shells are not approved and do not
qualify as proper head protection. |
| |
|
|
 |
| |
 |
May I
use my own helmet? |
| |
|
|
| |
 |
Yes, but only if it
is approved for the country where you’ll be riding. If you don't
have your own approved helmet, one will be offered to you at the
time of rental. |

Why
does Harley include non-dealer operators in the Harley-Davidson
Authorized Rentals program? |
| |
|
|
| |
 |
To offer rental
customers the best rental experiences possible in the markets that
have the highest demands for motorcycle rentals, it made good sense
to include established rental locations that have proven themselves
in offering high-end rental services. While the majority of the
Harley-Davidson Authorized Rentals operators are dealers, those
non-dealers that are authorized for the program are dedicated to
meet Harley-Davidson's expectations in quality and service. |
